Scope:
Gongguan Distribution Reservoir and Booster Station: To maintain water supply stability during construction, the existing pump house and one of the original reservoirs will be retained. A new 45,000-ton distribution reservoir will be constructed as part of a shared structure with the new multi-use complex. Water Supply Emergency Response Monitoring Center and Administrative Management Center: To ensure uninterrupted command and management of water supply during disasters, the facility will be built to post-disaster operability standards to guarantee its resilience and safety. The project will also include the Taipei Good Water Story House, aiming to promote water resource education through multimedia interactive experiences, integrated with the Museum of Drinking Water. Auxiliary Commercial Spaces: A multi-purpose approach will be adopted for auxiliary business operations. Rental income generated will be used to bolster the Water Fund, reducing the financial burden of the project. Parking Spaces: The plan includes 507 car parking spaces and 527 motorcycle spaces, helping to ease parking shortages and traffic congestion in the Gongguan area.
Benefits:
1.The reconstruction of the Gongguan Water Purification Plant’s distribution reservoir, combined with the development of a multi-purpose office complex, will establish Taipei’s centralized tap water emergency response, monitoring, and administrative management hub. This will significantly enhance disaster resilience and emergency response capacity, improving overall water supply safety across Greater Taipei and providing more secure water access for all residents.
2.To promote water education, the Taipei Good Water Story House will incorporate engaging multimedia displays integrated with the existing Museum of Drinking Water, fulfilling both educational and entertainment purposes.
3.Located in the conveniently accessible Gongguan district, the project maximizes land use through a multi-use development approach. It supports the city’s industrial policy by providing strategic-use space and meets the local demand for office facilities.
4.Additionally, the project is expected to revitalize the Gongguan shopping district and offer public recreational spaces, positioning the development as a new landmark in Gongguan.
