Scope:
1.This project adopts the shield tunneling method combined with internal pipe jacking. The shield tunnel spans a total length of 1,117 meters and is connected at both ends to cut-and-cover pipeline sections.
2.Ductile iron pipes (Class 4, U-type joints) are used for the section within the shield tunnel, while the open-cut sections use ductile iron pipes (Class 3, K-type joints) or steel pipes.
3.The connections and reserved points with existing pipelines are as follows:
(1)Connect to the existing ∮1000mm reserved pipe outside the Tanmei Street levee
(2)Reserve a ∮1000mm pipe section before crossing Freeway No.1 at Jilin Street
(3)Connect to the existing ∮800mm pipeline at Donghu Road
Benefits:
This project connects the No.1 and No.2 Water Trunk, establishing a backup water supply system for the Donghu area. It enhances water recovery capacity and reduces supply risk.
Project Cost: USD 5.5 million
Construction Period: October 2018 – January 2021
