Scope
In the Zhonghe and Yonghe areas, water pressure at the ends of the supply pipelines and in higher elevation zones has been relatively low. To improve this situation, a new ∮800mm pipeline will be installed along the outer levee on the New Taipei City side of the Xindian River, from Yongfu Bridge to Huazhong Bridge, and connected to the existing water supply network. This project aims to enhance water supply efficiency and ensure supply stability in the Zhonghe and Yonghe districts.
Benefits
1.To stabilize water pressure in the Zhonghe and Yonghe areas, and to enhance system safety and response capacity for various contingencies.
2.To transition the Zhonghe and Yonghe water supply system to a primarily gravity-fed system, with pump-assisted supply as a secondary method. This is expected to significantly reduce electricity consumption for water distribution, achieving energy-saving and carbon-reduction benefits.
Project Cost: USD 4.4 million
Construction Period: July 2025 – June 2027
