Project Scope
The Sanchong area has been experiencing generally low water pressure. Its water supply relies entirely on the Gongguan–Sanchong Branch from the Gongguan Booster Station, which has been in operation for more than 30 years. As it lacks sufficient backup systems, shutdowns for inspection and maintenance are difficult and pose considerable risks. If the Gongguan–Sanchong Branch becomes unable to supply water, the existing pipelines will not have enough conveyance capacity to meet the water demand of the Sanchong supply zone. To address this issue, a new ∮1500mm transmission main is planned, starting from the south side of Chongyang Bridge in Sanchong District, New Taipei City, and ending at the Shezi Baseball Field in Taipei City, where it will connect to the reserved ∮1200mm pipeline of the Guandu Line.
Project Benefits
- Improve overall water pressure and supply quality in the Sanchong area, enhance dispatching flexibility, and reduce supply risks.
- Increase system redundancy, support the coordination of Taiwan Water Corporation’s transmission mains, and ensure stable supply capacity and quality.
Project Cost: USD 40.89 million
